Last year was a farewell to a group of our finest leaders who were martyred due to COVID-19 complications. They were all humble and pure, aligning their words with deeds. I recall their names: Dr. Issam Al-Ashqar, Dr. Akram Al-Kharoubi, Engineer Wasfi Qabha, Professor Ameer Rasras, activist Omar Al-Barghouthi, Sheikh Ahmed Abu Ara, Dr. Adnan Abu Tabaneh, Engineer Ibrahim Abu Ghosheh. Remembering these figures uplifts spirits, as they departed with their records full, by God’s grace, of preaching, struggle, and reform among people. They were loyal sons of Hamas, preserving its path and offering their lives in its service until meeting their Lord. Fighters, male and female: God sees you as you stand at one of the greatest fronts for the Islamic nation—be sincere and lead from the front. Let our slogan for the coming year be: “Let God see what I will do.”
