Israeli occupation forces began bulldozing large areas planted with olive trees near the tourist village of Haddad, east of Jenin, on Saturday morning, uprooting thousands of trees as the olive harvest season approaches.
Local sources said occupation bulldozers leveled land estimated at about 306 dunams near the village of Haddad, opposite the "Ganim" camp, and the bulldozing affected large, old olive trees, some of them more than 50 and 60 years old.
Last Tuesday, the occupation authorities issued two military orders targeting the removal of plants and olive trees from a total area of about 307 dunams in the lands of Jenin and Qabatiya, including 128.77 dunams opposite the "Ganim" camp near the village of Haddad.
The bulldozing comes about a week before the start of the olive harvest season, inflicting direct losses on the owners of the targeted land and trees.
