Thousands of Palestinians on Tuesday mourned the bodies of 51 people recovered by rescue crews from beneath the rubble of destroyed homes in Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The funeral procession set off from Al-Awda Hospital toward the camp's cemetery amid poignant scenes, as mourners carried the bodies wrapped in shrouds and Palestinian flags.
The bodies belonged to children, women and men from the Nabhan, Al-Saafin, Al-Thawabta, Al-Taweel, Faraj Allah and Hajjaj families, who were killed in Israeli strikes that hit different areas of the camp.
According to the data, rescue crews have since the ceasefire in October last year recovered the bodies of 834 people from under the rubble, after identifying them and documenting their names.
