The Prisoners' Media Office warned of the deteriorating health and humanitarian conditions of Gaza Strip prisoners in Janot prison, noting that one prisoner sustained burns to his foot from a gas bomb during a crackdown on the prisoners, while another prisoner suffered a nervous breakdown.
The office explained that the prisoner injured in his foot was burned during the latest crackdown targeting Gaza prisoners inside the prison, while another prisoner suffered a nervous breakdown as a result of the crackdown's repercussions.
The Prisoners' Media Office pointed to the worsening spread of scabies among Janot prisoners, amid the absence of treatment and weak immunity, warning of continued deterioration in their health conditions.
It added that the prisoners also suffer from food shortages and poor hygiene, along with the reduced recreation period to half an hour every three days, which further compounds the difficulty of their detention conditions.
The Prisoners' Media Office demanded urgent intervention to stop the crackdowns in Janot prison and to provide the necessary treatment, food and hygiene supplies for the prisoners, amid the continuing deterioration of their detention conditions.
