Attacks on Farmers and Land Leveling Amid Olive Harvest

Settlers and occupation forces continue to escalate attacks against farmers and agricultural land in the West Bank during the olive harvest season, with attacks obstructing access and threatening crops.

Settlers and occupation forces are continuing to escalate their attacks against farmers and agricultural land in the West Bank, coinciding with the olive harvest season, which is witnessing attacks that obstruct farmers' access to their lands and threaten their crops.

In the town of Beita, south of Nablus, settlers on Saturday morning attacked farmers while they were picking olives in the Qamas area, a day after their attack on the Jabal al-Urma area and the firing of live ammunition.

Local sources said that occupation forces detained a number of youths and international solidarity activists in the area who had come to support the farmers and help them pick olives.

In the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, settlers grazed their sheep in agricultural land planted with olive trees in the eastern Al-Mughayyir plain, under the protection of occupation forces, causing damage to trees and crops.

Coinciding with the olive harvest season, land leveling of citizens' lands continues in the northern area of the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, to carve out a settlement road, with damage affecting the land and olive trees.

The suffering of Palestinian farmers is worsening during this year's olive harvest season, amid escalating attacks against them and their lands and property, threatening their crops and obstructing their safe access to their lands and the picking of their fruits.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, occupation forces and settlers carried out 2,051 attacks against citizens, their lands and property during the past month, including 1,404 attacks by occupation forces and 647 attacks by settlers.
