Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions and tightened measures imposed by occupation forces on those arriving in Jerusalem.
The Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem stated that 75,000 worshippers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Occupation forces imposed restrictions and tightened measures on worshippers' access to Al-Aqsa Mosque through the military checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem.
They also prevented dozens of young men from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque, after detaining them at the checkpoints and iron barriers surrounding Jerusalem, the Old City and the mosque.
