The medical referrals committee at the Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Sunday that 45 patients, accompanied by 60 companions, left the Gaza Strip this morning for treatment outside the territory via the Rafah border crossing.
The committee said it is continuing its administrative and technical procedures to facilitate the evacuation of patients and the wounded and to enable them to reach the necessary medical care outside the Strip.
It explained that 20,540 medical cases holding medical referrals remain on waiting lists for treatment outside Gaza, among them critical cases that cannot tolerate delay.
The committee renewed its call to facilitate the evacuation of medical cases, especially critical ones, and to accelerate travel procedures for patients referred for treatment abroad, given their growing medical needs.
