Qassam Commander for North Gaza Killed in Israeli Strike

Izz al-Din al-Bayk, commander of the Qassam Brigades' North Gaza Brigade, was killed at dawn on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in Gaza City's Nasser neighbourhood.

Izz al-Din al-Bayk, known as "Abu Hamza Ashmaawi," commander of the Qassam Brigades' North Gaza Brigade, was killed at dawn on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential apartment in the Nasser neighbourhood, west of Gaza City.

Al-Bayk and Muhannad Abu Ful were killed and others were wounded when occupation aircraft bombed a residential apartment near the Lababidi intersection in the Nasser neighbourhood, west of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, a young man, Ahmed Abu Mor, was killed by occupation forces' gunfire while he was in Salah al-Din Street in the city of Deir al-Balah.

Occupation forces also carried out a large demolition operation east of Deir al-Balah, accompanied by artillery shelling that targeted the eastern areas of the city.

In the north of the Strip, occupation forces fired illumination bombs over the al-Jawani area of Beit Lahia, accompanied by artillery shelling that targeted the northern parts of the town, while artillery shelling also hit the north of al-Bureij camp in the central Strip.

In the south of the Strip, occupation vehicles opened fire toward areas south of Khan Younis.

These developments come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The death toll since the agreement was signed last October stands at 1,421, in addition to 4,983 injuries, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
