Settlers Set Up New Outpost North of Jericho

Settlers established a new outpost in the Istih area of al-Duyuk al-Tahta village, northwest of Jericho, after bringing in machinery, equipment and iron barriers, in an area that saw 15 Palestinian families displaced.

Settlers on Monday established a new settlement outpost in the Istih area of al-Duyuk al-Tahta village, northwest of Jericho, after bringing machinery, equipment and iron barriers into the site.

The move came in an area that has witnessed attacks, demolitions and displacement over the past months, after 15 Palestinian families were displaced from Istih in February 2026.

The area has for some time been under continuous pressure on its residents, alongside settler attacks and occupation measures targeting Palestinian homes and facilities there.
