New settler attacks across the occupied West Bank

Settlers torched four vehicles in Aqraba, tried to set fire to a poultry structure in Salfit, and burned a house in Burqa, east of Ramallah.

Settlers burned four vehicles at dawn on Tuesday in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, and damaged residents' property, while others attempted to set fire to a poultry structure in the village of Farkha, west of Salfit, and torched a house in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

In Aqraba, the town's mayor, Salah Jaber, said settlers attacked the town's western area, setting fire to four vehicles parked in front of residents' homes, and sprayed racist slogans calling for revenge. He added that the vehicles belong to residents Alaa Bani Munay, Jihad Bani Jaber, Mahmoud Bani Munay and Seif Bani Munay.

In the village of Farkha, west of Salfit, settlers attacked the environmental farm “Qamar al-Balad” in the al-Jiza area and tried to burn a chicken coop inside it, also spraying racist slogans on the walls of a livestock farm, before villagers confronted them.

In the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, settlers set fire to the house of resident Ahmed Muhammad Bajes, causing major damage, according to the head of Burqa's village council, Sayel Kanaan.

Kanaan said the five-member family lives in the house, noting that settlers had cut down dozens of olive trees and destroyed a vehicle belonging to Bajes, who holds American citizenship, about a month ago.

The village of Burqa is subjected to repeated settler attacks targeting residents' homes and agricultural lands, along with attempts to storm the village and terrorize its residents.

The attacks come amid an escalation in settler attacks across the West Bank, including the burning and vandalism of vehicles, homes and property, the uprooting of trees and the seizure of land, in addition to physical assaults and road closures.
