Occupation cancels lawyers' visits to prisoners scheduled for today

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club say the occupation prison administration cancelled lawyers' visits to prisoners without explanation.

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced on Wednesday that the occupation prison administration cancelled lawyers' visits scheduled for prisoners, without clarifying the reasons for the decision.

The commission and the club explained that legal teams were informed of the cancellation upon their arrival at the prison gates, preventing the legal visits that were scheduled for today and the follow-up on prisoners' conditions and legal files.

They noted that the cancellation covered visits that the legal teams were due to conduct for a number of prisoners, calling on the families of the prisoners concerned to await any developments regarding the re-coordination of the cancelled visits.
