Settlers set fire to olive trees in the Shab'at area east of Qalqilya, while Israeli occupation forces forced farmers off their land and detained Yusuf Jum'a and several of his workers.

Settlers burned a number of olive trees east of Qalqilya on Thursday, while Israeli occupation forces forced farmers to leave their lands, barred them from continuing the harvest, and detained one farmer and several of his workers.

Local sources said settlers stormed the "Shab'at" area, part of the lands of the village of Immatin east of Qalqilya, and set fire to the olive trees.

The sources added that occupation forces forced farmers who were picking olives in the "Jabal" area, near the aforementioned location, to leave their lands, and detained citizen Yusuf Jum'a and several of his workers.
