7 Palestinians killed in strikes across the Gaza Strip

Medical sources in Gaza hospitals said seven Palestinians were killed and others injured by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Strip, with the toll recorded since the early morning hours.

Medical sources in hospitals across the Gaza Strip reported on Sunday that seven Palestinians were killed and others injured by Israeli fire and airstrikes in different areas of the Strip. The sources said the toll was recorded since the early morning hours as a result of ongoing escalation across the governorates.

The death toll included four citizens killed in Gaza City and the northern governorate by direct Israeli strikes. Southern areas witnessed similar strikes that hit gatherings of civilians and civilian infrastructure in the besieged Strip.

In Gaza City, a source in the ambulance and emergency service confirmed that three Palestinians were killed and several others injured with varying wounds. This came after an Israeli airstrike targeted the campus of the Islamic University for the second time since the start of the aggression.

In the south of the Strip, the administration of Nasser Medical Complex announced it had received the bodies of two martyrs and a number of wounded. These victims fell as a result of Israeli bombardment on the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.

The al-Mawasi area is among the areas sheltering large numbers of displaced people who fled bombardment in other areas. Nevertheless, Israeli forces continue to target these densely populated civilian areas, raising the pace of injuries and deaths on a daily basis.

These field developments come as medical teams suffer immense pressure from continued airstrikes. Ambulance crews are working to transfer the wounded to hospitals that face severe shortages of capabilities due to the siege imposed by the Israeli army.

Sources indicate that Israeli strikes were not limited to educational institutions such as the Islamic University, but also included shelters. The aggression continues to claim civilian lives and destroy infrastructure across the Gaza Strip.

Medical reports confirm that the death toll in the Strip is likely to rise given the presence of missing people under the rubble. Israeli forces continue intensive military operations, hindering rescue teams from reaching many targeted areas.
