Israel Levels Land, Uproots Olive Trees in Deir Qaddis

Occupation forces leveled wide areas of Palestinian land in the Maghayir area northeast of Deir Qaddis, west of Ramallah, and uprooted dozens of olive trees to pave a settlement road.

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday leveled land and uprooted dozens of olive trees in the village of Deir Qaddis, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for paving a settlement road.

Local sources said the occupation forces leveled wide areas of residents' land in the "Maghayir" area, northeast of the village, and uprooted dozens of olive trees.

The sources added that the occupation forces blocked the agricultural roads leading to the area with rocks, impeding farmers' access to their land, noting that the targeted area constitutes most of the olive production basket for the residents of the village.

Occupation forces are continuing to level land between Deir Qaddis and the neighboring village of Kharbatha Bani Harith, in preparation for establishing a settlement in the area.
