Gaza Education Ministry Mourns Student Reemas Al-Madhoun

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Gaza mourns student Reemas Ismail Al-Madhoun (16), killed in an Israeli strike after returning from her school, as the number of student martyrs exceeds 21,000.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Gaza Strip mourned student Reemas Ismail Al-Madhoun (16 years old), who was killed on Tuesday in an Israeli strike after returning from Al-Saraya Secondary School for Girls.

The ministry said Al-Madhoun's death comes amid the continued targeting of students in the Gaza Strip, noting that occupation forces earlier in the day bombed the University College of Applied Sciences while students were inside, killing one citizen and injuring 14 students.

It confirmed that the number of students killed during the genocide war on the Strip has exceeded 21,000, noting that thousands of children and young people have been deprived of completing their education and achieving their dreams, amid continued targeting of educational institutions and students.

The ministry held the international community and human rights and childhood organizations responsible for their silence over these violations, considering that the continued absence of accountability grants the occupation immunity to keep targeting students.
