Resistance does not wait for anyone’s permission, and our stance is clear: resistance in the West Bank continues and will not stop, as Palestinians have no alternative. Resistance is now the central word in the West Bank and in all dialogues at every level, taking various forms depending on individuals’ abilities. Hamas has no issue with this and supports all kinds of resistance, which forms the basis of its discussions with all Palestinian factions. Creating and protecting an environment for resistance and giving it space to strike at the enemy is essential, as it is the main tool for achieving our people’s goals.
The occupation appears to have exhausted its options, repeating strategies used decades ago which ultimately failed. It pressures the Authority through incentives and threats, pushing it toward confrontation with its own people. It holds regional summits and seeks external support to pressure our people and break the resistance, but the result will be a clear failure, as resistance operations have increased since the Aqaba summit, contrary to the occupation’s goals.
